GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College men's and women's golf coach Dan McMillen ’86 has announced his retirement after 16 seasons leading the Tomcat golf programs. A Thiel alumnus, accomplished PGA Professional and former student-athlete, McMillen guided the program through years of competitive success while mentoring generations of student-athletes on and off the course.

His tenure included coaching Jason Thorp ’18 to the 2018 Presidents’ Athletic Conference individual championship and Most Valuable Player honors, the program’s first conference champion since 2000.

“Coach McMillen's impact on Thiel College extends far beyond the golf course,” Director of Athletics Isaac Collins said. "He has represented our institution with integrity, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to developing young people through the game of golf."

A national search is underway for the next leader of the Thiel men's and women's golf programs.
