Thiel College education majors finishing program with student-teaching assignments

Student teachers spring story 2024

GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Nineteen members of the Thiel College Class of 2023 are finishing their degrees with student-teaching assignments at six Mercer County school districts.

Student name followed by hometown, school district and grade or subject they will be student-teaching:

  • Taylor Clayborn ’24, of Penn Hills, Pa., Sharpsville Area School District, middle school English
  • Jared Curcio ’24, of Avonmore, Pa., Sharpsville Area School District, high school learning support and kindergarten general education
  • Emma Deraway ’24, of Burghill, Ohio, Sharon City School District, kindergarten general education and K-3 emotional support
  • Noah Fisher ’24, of Greenville, Pa., Greenville Area School District, third grade general education and high school emotional support
  • Kylie Gardner ’24, of Warren, Ohio, Greenville Area School District, second grade general education and high school life skills
  • Kyle Gelvin ’24, of Greenville, Pa., Greenville Area School District, high school life skills and kindergarten general education
  • Isabelle Hammond ’24, of Brookfield, Ohio, Hermitage School District, high school learning support and kindergarten general education
  • Emily Irons ’24, of Franklin, Pa., Hermitage School District, fourth grade ELA and social studies and high school learning support
