Thiel cheer team set to compete during second straight trip to Nationals

GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Thiel College Tomcat cheer squad is set to improve on its national runner-up finish last year at the National Cheerleaders Association College Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida today through Sunday.

Thiel's team sent 17 members, who will compete on the national stage this year on Thursday, April 6 and Friday, April 7.

Thiel will compete at 8:40 a.m. Thursday, and at time to be determined on Friday. The team will compete against four other squads in the Cheer Spirit Rally Open division.

The team previously attended the NCA College Nationals in 2022 where they finished second in the Cheer Spirit Rally Open category scoring a 92.8.

Cheer team member Sydney Linhart ’25 will be taking over Thiel’s Instagram to bring the Thiel community along the journey at NCA College Nationals. The NCA College Nationals will be a test of the team's skills, coordination, and teamwork.
