GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College will host sport psychology coach, author, and speaker Rob Bell, Ph.D. for two presentations on Thursday, Nov. 7. The first session will be tailored for prospective college students visiting campus, while the second will welcome the entire Thiel College community to hear Bell discuss mental toughness.
The main presentation is at 11:30 a.m. in Bly Auditorium in the Daniel and Dorothy Spence Academic Center.
Bell, a noted figure in sport psychology, has delivered motivational talks to athletes in the National Football League and the Professional Golf Association, as well as executives from Fortune 500 companies including Marriott and Walgreens. In addition to his experience as a former university professor and author of eight books on mental toughness, Bell has competed in numerous Ironman races, ultra marathons, and even a 100-mile trail run. His expertise has been featured in publications such as Runner’s World, The New York Times, and Stack Magazine, and he has appeared on ESPN and The Golf Channel.
Bell’s latest book, “I Can’t Wait To Be Patient!,” offers practical strategies to address life’s challenges, stresses, and expectations through patience and resilience. He holds a doctorate in sport psychology from the University of Tennessee, a master’s degree in sport psychology from Temple University, and a bachelor’s degree from Shepherd University.
