GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College announced Kimberly Ault and Jacqulyn Laura-Ann Buentello as its top two graduates among its class of 185 graduates recently during the 140th annual Commencement exercises.
Ault, of Williamsport, Pa., earned valedictorian honors graduating with a 4.0 grade point average. She was an accounting and business administration major who graduated summa cum laude. She was a member of the Equestrian Club, W.I.N.G – Women Inspiring the Next Generation, Circle K, Les Lauriers, Outdoorsmen’s Club and Shooting Club.
Buentello, of Decatur, Mich., graduated summa cum laude with a 3.97 grade point average and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in early childhood education/special education. She was awarded the Dean’s Key for being on the Dean’s List all eight semesters at Thiel.
Students who received the honor of summa cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.8 - 4.0; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.60-3.79; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.4-3.59.
