GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College fraternity Kappa Sigma will recognize the sacrifices of veterans with a 21-gun salute at 6 p.m. Monday as part of the organization’s Military Heroes Week.
Members of Greenville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3374 conducted the 21-gun salute honoring military service members in the flag courtyard outside of Roth Memorial Hall.
The Xi-Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Sigma’s Military Heroes Appreciation Week also includes other events. Donations and the public are welcome at all events.
“I am asking…all to help the brothers of Kappa Sigma support and honor our veterans and military service people during our Military Heroes’ Week,” Kappa Sigma philanthropy chair Charlie Lichtenwalter ’22, an accounting and finance major from Erie, Pa., said. “There is a full schedule of events planned that the entire community can participate in with donations being accepted at all times. All donations and proceeds from the event go to the Kappa Sigma Military Heroes' Campaign which helps current and former military service people and their families.”
