GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College Kappa Sigma fraternity was presented a certificate of appreciation by the Reynolds VFW for raising more than $3,600 during its recent See-Saw-A-Thon.
Members of the fraternity endured rain and cold for 72 straight hours collecting money along Routes 18 and 58 near the David Johnson Memorial Chapel from October 6-8.
New for this year, the funds collected by Kappa Sigma were earmarked for local veterans with the Reynolds VFW coordinating the effort to distribute the funds locally.
This was the 28th year that the Xi Epsilon chapter of Kappa Sigma held the See-Saw-A-Thon. The organization has raised thousands of dollars riding the 25-foot-long metal see-saw during the yearly event.
