GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College, a leading liberal arts college in northwest Pennsylvania, is accepting registrations for its new and expanded summer school offerings which will begin May 7; offering both on campus and online course options.
Online and campus courses are available and are open to students from any college or university and area high school students, too. Thiel College’s summer courses offer the same quality instruction and academic rigor of fall and spring courses, but are smaller, less formal and encourage interaction between students and faculty.
“Campus summer courses or online options offer students an affordable and convenient option to get college credits,” Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College Liz Frombgen, Ph.D., said. “These are excellent options for everybody, but specifically for high school students who will find the smaller classes can serve as an excellent introduction to college-level academic work.”
Summer courses are appropriate for Thiel undergraduates, students from other colleges and universities, college-bound high school students or those with working on completing a bachelor’s degree. Students taking coursework to meet graduation requirements should seek approval from their departmental adviser.
The curriculum includes general requirement classes such as history, mathematics, psychology and word processing and spreadsheet classes. Beginning classes in Spanish are available, too.
Two sessions with day classes are available (May 7-25 and June 4-29) and a third session with night classes is available from May 14 to July 23.
