Institutional Accreditation

Institutional accreditation is granted by national and regional accrediting commissions. Accreditation is awarded because of overall compliance with the accrediting agency's criteria.

Middle States Commission on Higher Education

Thiel College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). The MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Thiel College received authorization from MSCHE to allow graduate programs in 2017-18. The most recent self-study review was during the 2020-21 academic year and the next evaluation visit is scheduled for 2028-2029.

Specialized Accreditation

Specialized accreditation is bestowed on pre-professional and professional programs within institutions. Specialized accrediting groups establish standards of excellence in professional educational training programs for recognized professions.
