GREENVILLE, Pa.—The Thiel Players are staging a fast-paced romp that turns the gothic horror of Dracula on its head with “Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors” Nov. 7–9 and Nov. 14–15 at the William A. Robinson Theater at Thiel College.
The play, written by Gordon Greenberg and Steven Rosen, will be directed by Thiel’s Director of Theatre JK Rogers, Ph.D., and assisted by Savanna Welch ’25.
Performances will be at 7 p.m. on Nov. 7–8 and Nov. 14–15, with a matinee at 2 p.m. on Nov. 9. Audience members should be 12 years or older.
The play has been described as a lightning-paced spoof reimagines Bram Stoker’s Dracula as a campy, cross-dressing, quick-change comedy in the vein of “The 39 Steps” or “The Play That Goes Wrong.”
The Thiel Players present two major productions each year as well as smaller student-directed or written pieces.
Tickets are available online at www.thiel.edu/tickets. Online ticket prices are $12 for adults or $15 at the door. Student tickets are $5. Thiel students are admitted free with a valid student ID.
