Thiel College awards Badger High School senior full academic scholarship

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Badger High School senior Allison Philbrick, of Kinsman, Ohio, has been awarded an academic scholarship worth $129,000 to Thiel College in Greenville, Pa.

The scholarship announcement was made Monday afternoon at the high school with representatives of the school administration and Thiel College along with her family.

“Allison has worked hard and earned this opportunity,” Vice President of Enrollment Management Ashley Josay Zullo said. “At Thiel College, our students find a welcoming community that puts students in touch with the resources to graduate prepared to take the next step.”

She plans to major in biology.

“(This) is a very big blessing in my life,” Philbrick said after she was told the news at Monday’s gathering. “I am so excited to start my time there.”

She is a daughter of Jim and Debi Philbrick, of Kinsman, Ohio.
