Thiel College announces latest class of Haller Enterprise Institute Scholarship winners

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Nineteen Thiel College students have been awarded Haller Enterprise Institute Scholarships recently.
Haller Enterprise Institute Academic Scholarships are awarded annually by the Thiel College Haller Enterprise Institute. Up to 20 $2,000 scholarships are provided to students who are involved in and are committed to future involvement in entrepreneurial activity.
Scholarship recipients for the 2022-23 academic year are:
- Nevaeh Arnold ’23, of Pittsburgh, Pa., is a business administration advertising and marketing major and a 2018 graduate of Taylor Allderdice High School.
- Kaylee Bensink ’25, of Wattsburg, Pa., is a business administration advertising and marketing major and 2021 graduate of Seneca High School.
- Zachary Bergstresser ’25, of Cranberry Township, Pa., is a supply chain management and business administration finance double major and 2021 graduate of Seneca Valley High School.
- Katabella Byers ’25, of Franklin, Pa., is a communication sciences and disorders major and 2021 graduate of Franklin High School.
- Tess Cadman ’23, of Greenville, Pa., is an English literature major and 2020 graduate of Reynolds High School.
- Anthony DeLuca ’25, of Boardman, Ohio, is an exploratory major and 2021 graduate of Ursuline High School.
- Emma Deraway ’24, of Burghill, Ohio, is an elementary education and special education major and 2020 graduate of Badger High School.
- Brycen Dorfmeister ’23, of Girard, Pa., is a business administration finance and management double major and 2019 graduate of Fairview High School.
- Marquise Easterly ’23, of Youngstown, Ohio, is a sociology major and 2019 graduate of Chaney High School.
- Evan Gerber ’23, of Hartstown, Pa., is a business administration finance and accounting double major and 2019 graduate of Conneaut High School.
- Devyn Giovengo ’22, of McKees Rocks, Pa., is a business administration advertising and marketing and management double major and 2018 graduate of Montour High School.
- Autumn Gourley ’24, of Warren, Pa., is a business administration major and 2020 graduate of Warren High School.
- Ava Kavulla ’25, of Sharpsville, Pa., is an elementary education and special education major and 2021 graduate of Pennsylvania Home Schoolers.
- Ashlar Kearns ’25, of Sharpsville, Pa., is a business administration sports management major and 2021 graduate of Lockport High School.
- Ava Kidder ’24, of Cowansville, Pa., is a computer science and information systems web development double major and 2021 graduate of Armstrong High School.
- Hayley Phillips ’23, of Lisbon, Ohio, is a business administration finance and management double major and 2019 graduate of Beaver Local High School.
- Kara Sokol ’23, of Sutersville, Pa., is a business administration finance and management double major and a 2019 graduate of Yough High School.
- Evan Whiteside ’24, of Monroeville, Pa., is an information systems major and a 2020 Gateway High School graduate.
- Madison Yurich ’24, of Harmony, Pa., is a communication sciences and disorders major and a 2020 Seneca Valley High School graduate.
The Haller Enterprise Institute at Thiel College endeavors to cultivate entrepreneurial-minded students by providing an intensive, high-quality educational experience to a select cohort of undergraduate students, regardless of major.
Members of the Haller Enterprise Institute actively engage with like-minded students, as well as network with respected business leaders from across the region—many of whom are influencers within their fields. Haller Institute members are also encouraged to become involved in our region’s economic development efforts and to gain valuable connections and experience as they begin to apply principles of entrepreneurship in real-world settings. Each year, students apply and interview for the highly sought-after positions. In addition, scholarship winners are guaranteed seats in the popular entrepreneurship courses the College offers. These courses are designed to encourage and support individuals who are considering going into business for themselves and focus on identifying business opportunities and developing a business plan. Scholarship winners also get access to the Haller Institute’s Advisory Board, a distinguished team of business professionals and educators who are committed to providing support, guidance, and encouragement to Thiel’s student entrepreneurs. A certificate in entrepreneurship is also available.
