GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College will host one of the world’s premier vocal ensembles when the GRAMMY Award-winning Chanticleer performs as part of the Con Spirito Chamber Music Concert Series on Thursday, Oct. 30, from 7–9 p.m. in the David Johnson Memorial Chapel.
Tickets for the performance cost $20. The concert is free for Thiel students with their ID.
Internationally recognized as an “orchestra of voices,” Chanticleer is acclaimed for its wide-ranging repertoire and dazzling virtuosity. Since its founding, the San Francisco-based ensemble has sold more than one million recordings and presented thousands of concerts to audiences around the globe, securing its reputation as one of the most celebrated vocal groups in the world.
Proceeds from ticket sales will support the Thiel College Choir’s international tour of Austria and Switzerland, scheduled for March 6–14, 2026. The tour will showcase the College’s tradition of musical excellence on an international stage while providing students with valuable cultural and performance experiences.
The Con Spirito Chamber Music Concert Series, established in 2007, was created in honor of Lori Johnson Wallace, the late daughter of Dr. Glen Johnson H’88 and his wife, LaVonne. The series is held in the David Johnson Memorial Chapel, named after the Johnsons’ late son, and has brought top chamber music performers from around the world to campus for nearly two decades.
