Thiel College Assistant Professor of History Sheila Nowinski, Ph.D., attended the American Historical Association’s annual meeting in Denver, Colo., from Jan. 5-8. Nowinski presented the paper “Clerical Celibacy in the Era of the Sexual Revolution” as part of a panel on French Catholic history.

Performance poet, author, activist and film producer Natasha T. Miller joins the Thiel College community for its celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. events Jan. 15-16. She will be the keynote speaker at both the 7:30 p.m. Sunday “Be The Dream” kickoff program and the 4 p.m. Monday interfaith community service. Both events are in the David Johnson Memorial Chapel on the campus of Thiel College.

Professor of Business, Administration and Accounting and Department Chair Gary Witosky ’79 will begin the semester as Thiel College’s first David M. Miller Endowed Chair of Accounting in January. Witosky received the appointment in late September, during Thiel’s Homecoming 2016 celebrations.
