Thiel College student Camille Radford ’18, of Baltimore, recently spent two weeks in Thailand caring for elephants and other animals. As part of a veterinary training program, Radford and other volunteers learned about the treatment of dogs, rabbits, cats, water buffalo and elephants.

Thiel College Assistant Professor of Performing Arts Pete Rydberg, Ph.D., and student researcher Austin Hall ’17 are preparing to debut their original documentary theatre performance “Berlin ist Gefallen!” (“Berlin has fallen!”) on Sept. 9 and 10. Susan Traverso, Ph.D., takes office today as Thiel College’s 20th president. The College made history at a press conference in May when it announced Traverso as its first female president. Following the announcement, a group of anonymous donors made a $150,000 gift to Thiel College for Traverso to support new initiatives. The gift was made in honor of Thiel’s 150-year history.
