GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Thiel College Office of Admission has increased its opportunities for students to participate in group visit days on campus this fall.

Upcoming events include a STEM Visit Day, a Fall Fest, a Marching Band Visit Day and an Accepted Student Overnight Visit Day.

“Each day is tailored to a specific student interest, but also lets high school students learn about the entire College and experience the breadth of the student life at Thiel surrounded by their peers,” Vice President for Enrollment Management Stephen Lazowski said.

The STEM Visit Day is Saturday, Oct. 1 and is open to high school students interested in majoring in any science, technology, engineering or mathematics program. The visit day is being held in conjunction with Thiel’s Homecoming Weekend and will give students a look at the College’s science facilities and the traditions of its Homecoming celebration. Prospective students and their families can take part in special Homecoming events and tour science laboratories and classrooms.

The Prospective Students Fall Fest is Saturday, Oct. 8. This new event features the Tomcat Marketplace. The marketplace will give high school students a chance to meet with representatives from student clubs and organizations, academic programs, and athletics.

On Saturday, Oct. 29, a special visit day will be held for students interested in marching band, color guard or twirling. The Marching Band Visit Day will let these talented students experience the Thiel Tomcat Marching Pride firsthand and perform with them in a football halftime show.

The Accepted Student Overnight Visit Day is Dec. 2-3. It combines a campus visit with a night in one of the dorms. Visitors can attend the annual dome opening celebration, which features a variety of activities including food, music, custom novelties and games. The Rissell-Schreyer Dome covers the football field from December to April.

Throughout this academic year, Admissions plans to host at least 11 group visit days to showcase the campus to interested high school students.

All group visit days include opportunities to learn about the admissions and financial aid processes, tour campus, experience lunch in the dining hall, meet with faculty and coaches, and experience campus life.

“Visit days are a wonderful first step for prospective students to explore Thiel’s beautiful campus and learn about our superior academic programs,” Lazowski said.

Aside from these group visit days, prospective students and their families may schedule an individual visit day to fit their schedule. Individual visit days are personalized and available on most weekdays or Saturdays by appointment.
