GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Thiel Players will perform their fifth and final production of the 2015-2016 academic year “At the Ark at Eight” on April 29-30 and May 1 in the College’s William A. Robinson Theater.
Written by Ulrich Hub, “At the Ark at Eight” explores philosophical ideas and theological matters such as free will, the value of human life, and justice—from the perspective of three clever penguins. When two penguins are summoned to Noah’s ark, what are they to do about their friend? As the penguins sneak their friend aboard, they delve into issues of friendship, companionship, morality and the nature of God. This production tackles complex themes but is suitable for children ages 8 years and older.
Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on April 29 and 2 p.m. on April 30 and May 1. The production is free and open to the public. Advanced reservations for the performance are recommended but not required.
The William A. Robinson Theater is located behind the William A. Passavant Memorial Center on campus. The Thiel Players are in their fifth decade of free theater for the campus and community.
