GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College will host a high school baseball playoff doubleheader at Tomcat Park on Monday.

Monday’s doubleheader opens with Sharpsville High School playing Cambridge Springs High School at 2 p.m. in a Class 2A quarterfinal. The second game is also a Class 2A quarterfinal. Lakeview will face the winner of Friday’s Cochranton–Reynolds game at 4:30 p.m. The concession stand will be open. Admission prices for the game are set and collected by District 10.

Parking for the event is available in the lots near the field, including in the lots for the nearby townhouses and Stewart Hall. Opened in 2008, the Baseball Field at Tomcat Park was made possible largely through a $1.2 million grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania—at the time the largest-ever grant in the history of Thiel College—the complex is located just north of Roy Johnson Drive on West Campus, near Greenville Borough’s Riverside Park.

The baseball field features LED scoreboards with inning-by-inning run totals in addition to bleacher seating behind each backstop. The baseball field also is served by a renovated, spacious and elevated press box, as well.
