GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Director of Thiel College’s Counseling Center, Melanie Broadwater ’98, was recently published in a leading counseling magazine.
Broadwater’s article, “Incorporating Creativity Into Outreach On A College Campus,” was published in Counseling Today. The website and monthly magazine is a publication of the American Counseling Association and serves as a resource of news and features about professional publishing. Counseling Today is mailed to ACA members monthly and the website is updated weekly with new content and articles.
In her article, Broadwater discusses some of the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic and how the Counseling Center at Thiel College had to creatively adapt to cater to the ever-changing needs of students. She outlined some of the events and activities that the Counseling Center ran over the past year to help bring cheer to students and highlighted the importance of outreach during these uncertain times.
Broadwater graduated from Thiel College in 1998 and has a master’s degree from Geneva College and is a licensed professional counselor and a national certified counselor.
