GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Thiel College Department of Music presents its 69th Annual Thiel Christmas Festival Concert at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022.
This year, the festivities will be separated into two sessions. The first section, “Carols and Cocoa” will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Lutheran Heritage Room of the Howard Miller Student Center. This session will feature the Thiel Wind Ensemble, the Thiel Choir, and the Campus Ministry, and attendees will be able to enjoy hot chocolate and Christmas cookies while being submersed in the joyful sounds of the holiday season. The second session will take place in the David Johnson Memorial Chapel at 8 p.m. and will feature the Thiel Choir performing selections from Handel’s “Messiah.”
Both sessions are free and open to the public.

For the past 69 years, the Thiel Choir, which was founded by Dr. Marlowe W. Johnson H’02 in 1953, has held the festival in the William A. Passavant Memorial Center. Throughout the years the Thiel Choir has performed in the mid-western, eastern and southern regions of the United States and Canada, and has performed on nine European tours most recently to Austria, northern Italy, and Ireland.
