GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College announces reality TV star Matt Roloff will speak at Thiel College at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 24 in the Lutheran Heritage Room in the Howard Miller Student Center.
Roloff is best known for starring in the show Little People, Big World, which debuted in 2006 on TLC and has ran for more than 230 episodes. The show follows the Roloff family’s life at their farmhouse near Portland, Oregon.
Roloff’s dwarfism, diastrophic dysplasia, resulted in numerous childhood surgeries. He walks with the aid of crutches and uses a motorized cart when needed, but has not let that interfere with his successful business career. His career includes stints as a top-performing salesman at two Fortune 500 companies and co-founding Direct Access Solutions. The company markets accessibility kits for little people to the hospitality industry. He has an inspirational story, is a recognized author and an advocate for all people with differences.
Roloff served as national president of Little People of America and has since co-founded a nonprofit organization that supports little people across the nation. Roloff also has made three humanitarian trips to the Middle East to facilitate life-saving medical efforts for little people in Iraq.
He has spoken to hundreds of audiences, motivating individuals to overcome challenges and achieve their dreams. Roloff’s life experiences have led to appearances on Oprah, The View, Good Morning America, The Bonnie Hunt Show, and the Rachael Ray Show. He has been interviewed by CNN, Fox News, The New York Times, People and many other media outlets.
