Miller, Farrell and Eakin’s years of service highlight Thiel College’s celebration of milestones

GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Twenty-nine faculty and staff members were recognized for their years of service during the campus retreat August 21 at Thiel College, a leading liberal arts college in northwest Pennsylvania.

The annual ceremony recognizes employees who have completed anniversaries in five-year increments starting with the fifth year.

Professor of Economics and Business Administration and Norman P. Mortensen Chair of Economics David Miller ’61 celebrated his 55th anniversary with the College. Miller has taught and advised more students than anyone in Thiel College’s 152-year history. Also, reaching 25-plus year milestones were Executive Director of Student Financial Services and Accounts Cindy Farrell ’77 (40 years) and Director of the Learning Commons Diane Donnelly Eakin (30 years).

The 29 employees represent 365 years of combined experience at Thiel College.
