GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College Professor of Painting and Curator of Art Sean McConnor is presenting “Recent Works: Paintings by Sean McConnor” at Harrisburg Area Community College on the Harrisburg campus through Nov. 11.
McConnor is exhibiting 28 paintings, primarily still life works with several landscapes and portraits. Half of the exhibition was created with oil, the other with hide glue and pigment.
McConnor presented a drawing workshop at 11 a.m. Oct. 20 and a lecture at 5:30 p.m. in Whitaker Hall, Room 214 at 1 HACC Drive, Harrisburg, Pa., 17110. It was followed by a reception in the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery.
Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, with additional hours from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and by appointment. All events are free and open to the public.
McConnor received a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University in 1996 and a Master of Fine Arts from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1998. He joined Thiel College as a faculty member in 1999.
