GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College fraternity Kappa Sigma will honor military service members, including those who made the ultimate sacrifice, with a 6:15 p.m. Monday, March 14 ceremony at the flag courtyard in front of Roth Memorial Hall.
Members of Greenville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3374 will conclude the ceremony with a 21-gun salute. Monday’s ceremony is part of the Xi-Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Sigma’s second annual Military Heroes Appreciation Week.
“Raising money for and supporting Kappa Sigma’s Military Heroes Campaign means a lot to our brothers,” Philanthropy Chair of the Xi-Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Sigma Sam Sesti ’18 said. “From hosting next week’s events to our #WoundedWarriorWednesday social media campaign and the money we raised during our See-Saw-A-Thon last October, all the donations we get go toward the Military Heroes Campaign. It’s the least that we can do to help provide support to the men and women who have risked their lives to defend this great nation and the freedoms that we all have.”
Additional events are planned for the week. The public is welcome at all events.
