GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Greenville Symphony Orchestra will perform a free pops concert at Thiel College on Sept. 10 at 2 p.m.
Thiel College will host a free ice cream social in conjunction with the event. The concert will be held on the lawn and terrace near the Howard Miller Student Center. Attendees should bring their own blanket or chairs.
The concert and ice cream social are part of Thiel College’s 150th anniversary celebration.
“The Greenville Symphony Orchestra is pleased to celebrate Thiel’s long-standing connection to the Greenville community,” Judy Eckler, president of the Greenville Symphony Society, said. “We are proud to recognize this sesquicentennial.”
Founded in 1866, Thiel College traditions such as Commencement, Homecoming, Academic Honors Convocation and other special events will recognize the College’s 150th anniversary throughout 2016.
