GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Sara Matczak ’17 was recently appointed to the Thiel College Board of Trustees and will begin her first term in November.
Matczak graduated from the College in 2017 with degrees in mathematics and business administration before earning her Master of Science in Finance degree from Loyola University Chicago in 2018. Following her graduation and completion of an internship with Sycamore Ridge Capital Partners, LLC, Matczak accepted a role as a Junior Trading Analyst at Voloridge Investment Management, LLC in Jupiter, Fla. where she was promoted to Climate Trading and Project Director and later advanced to her current role as a Lead Trader overseeing trading software projects, operations data, and treasury strategy. Matczak is passionate about serving within her church, Christ Fellowship in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., with elementary and high school-aged students, missions, and several other ministries.
During her time at the College, Matczak was active on the women’s varsity tennis team, women’s varsity bowling team, in the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, and on the student government association. The College looks forward to her contributions as a Trustee considering her recent familiarity with the College’s operations and her industry knowledge.
The Board of Trustees is responsible for the oversight of Thiel College. The Board adopts rules, regulations and policies governing Thiel College and has authority over curricular development, use of property, development of facilities and fiscal and human resources management. The Board of Trustees meets formally three times a year on campus.
