The weekly Health Professions Institute seminar began on Sept. 5 with a resume and etiquette session with husband and wife Rich ’82 and Sandy Parker ’81.

“There is one thing that Mr. Parker said which I have heard a lot on campus is along the lines of ‘People at Thiel want you to be successful.’  I agree with that statement one hundred percent because I have experienced where professors and faculty had and continue to help me be successful.”—Katrina Deckinger ’21

“After listening to Mr. Parker’s presentation, the point that stuck out to me the most was his resiliency. When he talked about the number of times he was fired, job after job, I was absolutely astonished by the number of times he brushed himself off and got back on his feet. Most people would’ve given up by the first or second termination of their jobs, but I found Mr. Parker’s tenaciousness to be very inspiring.”—Zach Lyons ’23
