About Drama Studies for non-English Majors
Pursuing a certification in drama studies enhances a student’s self-confidence and presentation skills, boosts their classroom presence and marketability, and provides a solid foundation in the dramatic arts.
The certificate covers fundamental topics in dramatic literature, Shakespeare, and various aspects of drama. Through the program, students will:
- Study the history and evolution of theatrical performance.
- Analyze the transformation of literary texts into live performances.
- Experience and critique live drama through the Stratford Excursion experience.
