GREENVILLE, Pa.—Physician assistant students from Thiel College volunteered their time and support during the first walk for Willy’s World, a fundraising and awareness event held at Sharon Speedway on Sunday, June 29, 2025.
The event marked the nonprofit’s first official fundraising event. Participants raised money and walked laps around the speedway’s track, supporting children and families affected by hidden disabilities such as autism and other neurological disorders that are not always visible.
Willy’s World was established in January 2025 with a mission to educate, support, guide, and provide resources to families navigating hidden disabilities. The organization also promotes sensory-friendly activities and inclusive spaces for children, while partnering with community groups to raise awareness.
Thiel College physician assistant students volunteered at the event by assisting with check-in, supporting sensory stations, coordinating activities, and engaging with families.
