Thiel College graduate has thesis published in Northeast Regional Honors Council’s journal

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College history and religion double major Demir Schroyer ’23, of Hermitage, Pa., had his thesis, “How Christian Persecution Influenced the Symbolism in Revelation,” published in the Northeast Regional Honors Council’s undergraduate journal.

Schroyer’s thesis was published in Illuminate, which is the honors council’s undergraduate journal. Each year it publishes the scholarly and creative work of some of the most talented honors students in the northeast region.

As a student at Thiel, Schroyer was a member of the Dietrich Honor Institute, the Theta Alpha Kappa National Society for Religious Study and Theology, the Phi Alpha Theta historical honor society, and was Dean’s List honoree. He also presented his thesis during the College’s annual scholarship and arts symposium this past April. This year’s Scholarship and Arts Symposium is April 25. Schroyer, a 2019 graduate of Hickory High School and an Eagle Scout, plans on taking graduate courses through Liberty University online as he pursues his goal of earning his doctorate in both history and religion on his way to becoming a professor.
