Active Minds will be partnering with Samantha McCandless to show a movie on suicide awareness. My Ascension”, a documentary, is based on the life of Emma Benoit, a 16 year old varsity cheerleader who attempted to take her life. She was left paralyzed from her attempt and now uses her experience as an opportunity to educate others about the devastating effects of suicide and ways to prevent suicide.
