    About the Economics Minor

    Thiel’s Business Economics minor provides career-enhancement opportunities for non-business majors seeking to improve their marketable skills with exposure to key business principles.

    Economics Minor Objectives

    The program provides foundational knowledge in accounting, economic concepts, and budgeting as tools to accomplish professional tasks effectively. Students will acquire:

    • An understanding of specialized terminology used in business and the fundamental concepts of a market economy.
    • Knowledge of economic theories and models.
    • Foundational qualitative and quantitative tools of analysis.
    • Develop interpersonal skills and learn to be a valuable member of a team.
    • Be prepared for entry-level employment in the field of business.
