    About Business Administration – Supply Chain Management

    A career in supply chain management can mean many different things. Because the supply chain can involve so many different steps and individuals, professionals can hold many types of jobs and have a variety of responsibilities, from inventory management to shipping to sales. Bottom line, supply chain management is a growing field and given recent global developments, it’s likely that demand for qualified professionals will grow even faster than anticipated.

    The ideal supply chain professional has a broad business skillset and a holistic view of the organization—both how and why decisions are made, and how different departments interact with one another to move goods from production to delivery—are ideally suited for supply chain roles. Thiel’s Supply Chain Management major through the Arthur McGonigal Department of Business Administration and Accounting is a great first step to unlocking your career potential.

    Supply Chain Management Major Objectives

    At Thiel College, the bachelor’s degree courses in Supply Chain Management prepare students to:

    1. Understand operations management systems and processes, strategic planning, and managing supply chain disruptions.
    2. Build ethical and sustainable operating models.
    3. Embrace efficiency and continuous improvement.
    4. Examine current issues, trends, practices, and processes.
    5. Develop analytical skills relevant to the supply chain business profession.
    6. Demonstrate effective communication in oral and written forms in the field.

    Supply Chain Management Curriculum

    Thiel’s supply chain management program allows students to learn the key business processes that drive profitable business growth, positioning them to hold a sustainable competitive advantage in the business world.

    This robust program includes courses in project management, operations management, logistics and strategic management. Students are encouraged to complete at least one internship and will have multiple networking opportunities with business alumni prior to graduation.
