    About the 3+1 Program

If you already know you want to study business, Thiel’s Accelerated 3+1 Business Management/MBA pathway can help you get more out of your college years. Instead of spending four years earning only a bachelor’s degree, you can complete your Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration—Management Track in three years and move directly into Thiel’s 11-month MBA program. That means two degrees in four years, less time in school and a faster start toward your career. You’ll build skills in management, marketing, accounting, finance, analytics and communication while learning from faculty who know your goals and help you stay on track.

    Program Objectives

The Accelerated 3+1 Business Management/MBA pathway is designed for motivated students who want to make a smart investment in their future. You’ll gain a strong business foundation, build confidence as a leader and prepare for graduate-level study while saving time and reducing the cost of earning an MBA.

Upon completion of the Thiel MBA Program, you will be able to:

    • Apply advanced business concepts to real organizational challenges and opportunities.
    • Use data, analysis and evidence-based reasoning to support smart business decisions.
    • Communicate clearly and professionally with teams, clients and business leaders.
    • Demonstrate ethical leadership in management, team and organizational settings.
    • Connect ideas across business disciplines to solve complex problems.
    • Prepare for career advancement in business, nonprofit, entrepreneurial and leadership roles.

    3+1 Curriculum

Thiel’s Accelerated 3+1 Business Management/MBA pathway follows a focused four-year plan: three years of undergraduate business coursework followed by the college’s 11-month MBA program. The undergraduate sequence includes six fall and spring semesters plus three summer terms, allowing students to complete 124 undergraduate credits while staying on track for graduate study.

You’ll take courses in areas such as accounting, information systems, economics, marketing, management, statistics, business law, operations, international business, finance, business communication and internship experiences. Because this is an accelerated pathway, you’ll work closely with an academic advisor to plan your schedule, review requirements and make sure you are prepared for each step.

Final course scheduling must be reviewed with an academic advisor and checked against the current academic catalog, prerequisites, course rotations, transfer or AP credits and overload policies.

    Scholarship Opportunities

Thiel College offers scholarships to undergraduate business students for reasons of academic success, community service or involvement, exemplary leadership and more. Students pursuing the Accelerated 3+1 Business Management/MBA pathway may be eligible for scholarship opportunities available to business administration majors.

The 3+1 pathway can also help make an MBA more affordable by reducing the total time it takes to earn both degrees. By completing your bachelor’s degree in three years and your MBA in 11 months, you can avoid the cost of an additional year of college while entering the workforce sooner with an advanced credential.
