The minor will provide basic ecological and management knowledge about, and will cultivate an appreciation for, the value of wildlife resources. Students majoring in biology, or an unrelated field will gain an appreciation for the value wildlife resources and the need for sound management.
The objective of the wildlife sciences minor is to provide students, who might pursue careers in related areas of natural resources management, with basic ecological and management knowledge about wildlife resources.
This minor serves students who desire a concentration in the study of natural populations of plant and animal life. It would be of special interest to students who are majors in environmental science and biology since it strongly complements these majors. Some students of other natural sciences, social sciences and humanities may also find this concentration valuable.
