    About the Food & Agricultural Biology Minor

    Biology is one of the foundation disciplines for nutrition, food and agricultural sciences. Food and agricultural sciences are striving to revitalize their roots in the liberal arts. This set of courses provides basic preparation in biology that is relevant to any student who wants to pursue eventual advanced study in agriculture.

    Food & Agricultural Biology Minor Learning Objectives

    The program has been designed to provide students with a broad understanding of the role of agricultural and food systems in meeting human food needs and the impacts of these systems on the natural environment.

    • Develop an awareness of issues and challenges related to sustainable agricultural/food systems.
