Youngstown TV journalist speaks to broadcasting class

GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Caroline Collins, WFMJ 21 news weekend anchor and weeknight reporter spoke to students in Assistant Professor of Communication Ross Nugent’s COMM 350: TV News Production class on Wednesday.

She made a presentation for the students and answered a variety of questions from the students. She also discussed her experiences and recovery as a victim of COVID-19.

“She was very insightful, It was a great opportunity for me to ask questions and gain knowledge on the industry from someone who is very experienced,” Austin Balaschak ’22 said.

As a broadcast journalist, Collins has covered national and international events and issues. She interviewed, then vice-presidential candidate, Mike Pence, and covered the presidential candidates as they made stops in the tri-state area.
