Thiel College scholarships highlight opportunities for regional students

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Deadlines are approaching for several scholarships for accepted Thiel College students from local high schools.

Each year, the David E. Baughman Endowed Scholarship at Thiel College is awarded to high school students attending Greenville, Reynolds, Commodore Perry, or Jamestown school districts.

Students who reside in Mercer County and attend high schools other than the ones mentioned should consider applying for the Carl and Ella Busch scholarship. Both of these scholarships are part of more than $100 million in aid that has been awarded at Thiel College since 2009. Ninety-nine percent of students at Thiel College receive some form of financial aid.

Students from the Ohio counties of Columbiana, Mahoning or Trumbull who want to major in a science-related field at Thiel College are encouraged to apply for the Marion G. Resch Science Scholarship. The Marion G. Resch Foundation is committed to promoting the education of young people throughout the Mahoning Valley. The Resch Science Scholarship Program at Thiel College has provided college funding opportunities to young adults from the Mahoning Valley since 2006.

The scholarship provides partial tuition funds after all other possible scholarships, grants, and other tuition reduction programs have been applied. This scholarship is part of the more than $100 million in aid that has been awarded at Thiel College since 2009. Ninety-nine percent of students at Thiel College receive some form of financial aid.
