GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College will host Nursing for a Day on Friday, Oct. 24, for prospective students to explore the College’s accredited nursing program through a day of interactive experiences, faculty engagement, and hands-on learning in modern facilities.
The program introduces students to Thiel’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing, accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, while highlighting the College’s personalized approach to preparing future nurses for careers in hospitals, clinics, and community health. Past cohorts of Thiel nursing students have expanded their learning through visits to a regional helicopter ambulance service and an Amish birthing center, as well as by attending professional nursing conferences and participating in mission trips. While opportunities vary from year to year, these experiences highlight the program’s emphasis on hands-on learning.
Agenda highlights include an admissions presentation and Thiel overview; a guided campus tour; a nursing faculty and student panel; a simulation lab demonstration and a tour of the nursing suite as well as a fun Halloween-themed “haunted skills lab.”
“Nursing for a Day is an excellent opportunity to see what it means to study nursing at Thiel,” program director Nicole Olshanski, D.N.P. said. “From our high-tech simulation lab to the one-on-one connections with professors and peers, students will experience what sets Thiel’s program apart.”
