Thiel College hosts annual synod conference for Lutheran leaders from northwestern Pa.

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Northwestern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America members will meet at Thiel College on June 5-6 for the organization’s annual synod assembly.

The Northwestern Pennsylvania Synod comprises 70 congregations and members across all or part of 15 counties.

Thiel College President Susan Traverso, Ph.D. will deliver an official welcome address to the congregants. Activities are scheduled from the morning of Friday, June 5 until noon Saturday, June 6.

The Northwestern Synod includes churches in Cameron, Clarion, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Jefferson, McKean, Mercer, Potter, Venango and Warren counties, and also portions of Armstrong, Indiana and Westmoreland counties.
