GREENVILLE, Pa.—The Thiel College Office of Admission has named Abigail Sefton ’25 and Allison Walsh ’24 its Thiel Team Members of the Month for September.
Sefton is from Sandy Lake, Pa. and is a 2021 graduate of Lakeview High School. She is an accounting and business administration double major. While working for admissions, Sefton handles front desk inquiries in professionally and is proactive and supportive during unforeseen changes.
Also, families have told the admissions staff that her campus tours are thorough and engaging and that she does a great job representing Thiel College.
Sefton is a member of Sigma Kappa sorority and works in the campus mail room.
She said her favorite thing about Thiel is “the people I have met and all the memories that I have made!”
Walsh is from Edinboro, Pa. and is a 2020 graduate of General McLane High School. She is a triple major in business administration management, business administration human resources management and English.
She is always an accommodating and supportive Thiel Team member—especially when giving impromptu tours to faculty members and alumni. In addition to her support, Walsh continually displays excellence as a student representative of Thiel College.
She is a member of the Student Government Association, Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, Dietrich Honors Institute, Alpha Chi honors society and the Thiel Student Support Network.
She said her favorite thing about Thiel is “the community. Whether it’s professors, alumni, or current students, everyone is always there to support you and help you out!”
The Thiel Team comprises students employed by the Office of Admission. The students primarily serve as ambassadors for prospective students and their families, but they are also responsible for a variety of other jobs and including work on mailings, market research, telemarketing, event support, and other administrative, professional, and office duties.
