Seven students named Pedas Fellows for the 2016-2017 academic year

GREENVILLE, Pa.—James Pedas Professor of Communication and Chair of the Department of Media, Communication and Public Relations Dane S. Claussen, Ph.D., announced seven students from a variety of majors compose the 2016-2017 class of Thiel College Pedas Fellows.

“This is a very impressive group of Pedas Fellows this year, including two returning Fellows, Liz Carlson and Brianna Walkup. Their responsibilities this year to the campus Presentational Literacy initiative and the campus generally are vital, and we are all looking forward to another productive year,” Claussen said.

The 2016-2017 Pedas Fellows:

The Pedas Fellows’ role is to assist other students with media and computer hardware and software in the James Pedas Communication Center; aid students with other communication skills and processes, such as preparing presentations; help with the Presentational Literacy course in the College’s core curriculum; and support courses across campus with communication needs such as video recording. The Pedas Fellows are supervised by Claussen, who is also executive director of the Pedas Center; with assistance from Media Production Engineer Mike Battisti and Assistant Professor of Communication Ross Nugent.
