Office of Admission welcoming high school students to summer BBQ picnics

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College, a leading liberal arts college in northwest Pennsylvania, will host a set of “Summer BBQ” visit days for the second year in a row on June 19, July 12 and July 28, sponsored by the Office of Admission.

After the success of last year’s events, the Office of Admission at Thiel is using the summer months to offer students three events to learn about campus resources and academic departments, meet with faculty and coaches, tour the campus, and enjoy food and fun with potential classmates.

“The summer is a perfect time to visit your potential future college,” Director of Admission Sonya Lapikas said. “The relaxed schedule provides ample opportunities for students to interact with faculty and staff members, and to learn about our more than 60 Bachelor’s and Associate’s degree programs.”

Lapikas said the decision was made to hold three events this year to accommodate more students and to ensure that more students have access to a visit date that fits their summer schedule.
