GREENVILLE, Pa.—Members of the Northwestern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America are at Thiel College from June 13–14 for the organization’s annual synod assembly.
The Northwestern Pennsylvania Synod comprises 74 congregations and members across all or part of 15 counties.
Thiel College president Susan Traverso, Ph.D. greeted Synod members and delivered an official welcome message Friday. Activities were scheduled throughout the day Friday and will culminate Saturday at noon.
The Northwestern Synod includes churches in Cameron, Clarion, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Jefferson, McKean, Mercer, Potter, Venango and Warren counties, and also portions of Armstrong, Indiana and Westmoreland counties.
