GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College announces Jacara Green ’25, of Farrell, Pa., and Kaitlynn Wolffe ’25, of Greenville, Pa., as its Student of the Month honorees for March.

The Student of the Month honor is awarded to seniors. It is among the most prestigious student awards at Thiel College with only six students earning the honor each semester.

Green is a 2021 graduate of Farrell Area High School and is pursuing a double major in accounting and business administration. After graduation, she plans to continue her education at Thiel College, earning a master’s degree in business administration.

Reflecting on her time at Thiel College, Green expressed gratitude for the friendships she has formed and the professional development opportunities she has received.

“Throughout my time here, I have had the privilege of forming lifelong friendships and building a sense of community with the individuals I have met,” Green said. “I have also had numerous opportunities to network in meaningful and enjoyable ways throughout my college experience, especially through the Dietrich Honors Institute-sponsored trips. These opportunities for both personal and professional growth have made my time here at Thiel rewarding and extremely memorable.”

Green also extended special appreciation to the College’s Arthur McGonigal Department of Business Administration and Accounting and the Thiel Learning Commons for their unwavering support in her academic journey.

Wolffe is a 2021 graduate of Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy and is completing a double major in English and business administration. After graduation, she plans to teach English overseas in Japan or pursue a career in underwriting.

Wolffe has been involved in community service through St. Paul’s Senior Living Community and has participated in the Creative Writing Club and Sigma Tau Delta, the English honor society. She is the daughter of Carrie Riggs, of Erie, Pa., and Jamison Reinhart, of Greenville, Pa.

Wolffe credits Thiel College with shaping her personal and academic growth.

“Thiel has been a transformational experience for me. I met my lifelong friends here and would not be the same person without them and my four years at Thiel,” Wolffe said. “Thiel has helped me develop better writing and leadership skills, and I was even given the opportunity to travel overseas thanks to my time here.”

She also highlighted the impact of several Thiel faculty members on her academic journey, including Professor of English and James Pedas Endowed Chair of Communication Mary Theresa Hall, Ph.D., Coordinator of Peer-Led Learning Programs Hannah Keeling ’08, and Assistant Professor of English Sheila Gross, Ph.D. ’10, who each played a role in developing her writing skills, leadership abilities, and passion for literature.
