GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Thiel Players and the Thiel College Department of Theater present the Tony Award®-winning "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" musical April 10-12 at the William A. Robinson Theater.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on April 10 and 11, and 2 p.m. on April 12.
Directed by Assistant Professor of Performing Arts and Director of the Thiel Players Pete Rydberg, Ph.D., “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” is a long one-act musical. The musical comedy showcases six overachieving teenagers who give their best in a chaotic middle school spelling bee, overseen by grown-ups who barely escaped adolescence themselves. During the show, four audience members are brought up to the stage to participate alongside the actors.
“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” is recommended for audiences 12 and older.
