GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Compas de Nicaragua, a non-profit organization that supports health and education projects in Nicaragua, is sponsoring a performance of the six-member dance troupe “The Daughters of Corn,” in Thiel College’s Lutheran Heritage Room at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14.

The multimedia performance includes cultural dances performed in ornate dresses to marimba music and short videos. The videos take the audience into the lives of “Women in Action,” a women’s group that lives and carries out community projects in one of the poorest settlements of Managua, Nicaragua.

The performance is free and open to the public.
