Library patron passes on good experience at Langenheim Memorial

Robbie Mumford shared a message with the members of the Langenheim Memorial Library.

I just want to pass on my experience visiting your library on Monday. I had an online test to take where you need an environment free of basically everything. My desk is far from that. I came in, in the morning about 8:30 to see if it was feasible to use your facilities. I was greeted at the desk. I explained my situation and asked about guest WIFI. [The student] was wonderful, even giving directions to the help desk if I had any issues. I went upstairs, found a nice room and made sure I was able to connect. Everything went well.
Monday evening about 6:00 I returned. I was again greeted, this time by a young lady. I made my way upstairs and settled in. I spent about an hour in you facility. Upon leaving I was told to have a good night.
This was the first time in your library as I graduated from another institution in 1998. I really appreciate the hospitality that I received and for the use of your facilities. I’m very grateful that you allow “outsiders” in and allow guest WIFI. Please keep up the good work.

Young alumna Belsito shares journey from teaching to accounting

Jackie Belsito ’11 was the featured speaker at the March 20 Ruth A. Miller Senior Business Seminar. Belsito is the controller for Kaulig Companies in Hudson, Ohio.

“Jackie was deeply involved in campus life, balancing her time between the softball team, scorekeeping at volleyball games, and tutoring economics classes. She chose Thiel, like many of us have, for its tight-knit community and for the personalized interactions with faculty and staff.” Hailey McClain ’24

“Initially considering a career in teaching, Jackie's plans shifted when her aunt suggested she explore accounting for its promising job prospects after graduation. After just one semester of accounting studies, Jackie found herself fascinated with the subject, crediting Professor Ligo for igniting her passion.” Emma Hatfield ’25

“When asked why she found the non-profit sector fulfilling she informed us about how she loved the mission-driven work and that it made her feel like she was doing something meaningful.” George Tice ’24
