Thiel College fraternity Kappa Sigma hosts 28th annual See-Saw-A-Thon for Military Heroes

The 28th annual Kappa Sigma See-Saw-A-Thon to raise money for the local veterans begins at noon Friday, October 6, and will continue for 72 consecutive hours until noon Monday, October 9 on the lawn near the intersection of routes 18 and 58 in front of Thiel College’s Howard Miller Student Center.

Hundreds of students expected as Thiel hosts Mercer County guidance counselors college fair

Hundreds of students and representatives from 75 colleges, universities, trade schools, businesses, career centers, and military branches are set to attend the Mercer County Guidance Counselors Association College Fair at Thiel College in the Rissell-Beeghly Gymnasia from 9–11 a.m. on Thursday, October 5.

Gym parking lot closed for College Fair

Please note that the gym parking lot will be closed on Thursday, October 5 for the Mercer County Guidance Counselors College Fair and Career Day.

The lot will remain closed for the duration of this event. The Gym Parking Lot will open around noon that day.

Students can park at the Passavant Center. Faculty and Staff can utilize the parking lots at Greenville Hall, the staff lot behind the football offices, and or the Passavant Center parking lot.

Thiel Players looking for prom photos from the 80s

Anyone submitting photos should also include in the email their explicit permission that photo can be used in the production and potential marketing materials for the production.

Equestrian team selling midterm donuts and fry pies

The Equestrian Team is scheduled to have donuts and fry pies on campus to sell on October 12. Donuts are $2, and fry pies are $3. We will be at the Post Office entrance from 9:30 a.m. till 3 p.m.

Mindfulness with Pastor Brian Riddle ’07 is a variety of stretching, movement, and meditation designed to promote harmony between your body and mind, so that you may heal and grow in all the areas of your life. It is non-religious, and helpful whether you are a beginner or an experienced practitioner. It will be held every Wednesday when classes are in session.

Faculty & Staff Common Hour: Addressing Stereotype Threats and Imposter Phenomenon Among College Students

Based on a recent presentation by the Association of College and University Educators, this Common Hour program will note challenges college students experience when encountering "Stereotype Threats" and "Imposter Phenomenon." After defining these two concepts, we will discuss strategies for mitigation in order to a foster a community of belonging.

This session is intended for Thiel College faculty and staff.

The Counseling Center will be hosting the annual Stress Less Day leading up to midterms. Participate in stress reducing activities including chair massages, therapy animals, crafts, and giveaways.

Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812
Oct. 5 leaving campus at 3:30 p.m.
Great Lakes Theater, Cleveland, Ohio

This is a free trip for Thiel College students to attend a performance of Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 an award-winning Broadway musical.

The bus will leave campus around 3:30 p.m., and allow participants to have a meal on their own in the area. All participants must then meet the group at the 7 p.m. to receive their tickets for the show. The bus will return to campus immediately after the show, and should be back at Thiel College by midnight.

Kappa Sigma See-Saw-A-Thon

Every year, Kappa Sigma raises money for veterans by riding a seesaw for 72 hours consecutively. This year, we are partnering with the Reynolds VFW to directly support local veterans.
