A revamped and updated web page debuted on May 26. Since the previous site was updated in 2014, there have been significant technology advances including a shift to prioritizing mobile over desktop functionality. The new look takes this into consideration and is supported by an updated development platform. Under the leadership of assistant director of digital engagement Mike McElroy and webmaster Jess Turner, the Office of Communications and Marketing has been working towards this launch for several months.
This launch is only the first step and work continues as further enhancements are made..
Many of the internal service functions that we are used to accessing from the website homepage (links to Webmail, Moodle, Power Campus, etc…) will now reside in a convenient square icon located in the upper right corner of nearly all pages on the website. Newly added to this list of service features is a “Report Issue” button. This is where you can help! Any member of the campus community requires some attention, please click on “Report Issue” and follow the instructions to ensure that we are notified of the problem. Common issues include broken links, missing PDFs, blank webpages, incorrect image sizes, even programming notes appearing in the content.

Vice President for Student Life and Athletics and Dean of Students Mike McKinney, Ed.D. ’02 recently completed the doctoral program at the University of Pittsburgh.

One hot station will also be open daily with other stations available during summer camps, conferences, and other special events. Communications collateral
Employees should update the logos used on institutional materials, including email signatures, letterhead, PowerPoint slides, etc.
Thiel College has used the shield and wordmark combination as the official institutional logo for more than a year. They are the only approved logo for academic co-curricular and institutional use. Additional athletic logo packages are also available.
Email signatures, brand resources, and a job request form are all available online. A Dropbox folder has been set up with instructions and the materials necessary to create new email signatures. Employees can find other Thiel College-branded resources including letterhead, logos and PowerPoint slides in the same folder.
Thiel College community members who need help with communications and marketing initiatives and collateral can now request those services with a job form. The request form is available on the communications and marketing webpage or linked directly below.
